Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role in the Greater Hartford region.
The Financial Controller will lead Finance & Administration across a multi‑state, multi‑entity operation. The role is responsible for establishing disciplined financial controls, managing consolidated reporting, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and supporting integration of operating units as the platform scales. The Controller will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy, operational visibility, and governance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month‑end close
- Manage multi‑entity reporting, consolidations, and intercompany activity
- Build and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and standardized procedures
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and variance analysis
- Support acquisition integration, asset tracking, and capital planning
- Prepare lender‑ready financial packages and executive reporting
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Implement systems and processes that support scale, accuracy, and operational discipline
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or multi‑facility environments
- Strong command of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and asset management
- Proficiency with financial systems and ERP tools
- High integrity, strong analytical capability, and disciplined communication
- Ability to operate in a fast‑moving, growth‑stage environment
