This position is based in Cluj-Napoca, where you will join a large finance team and work closely with controlling and accounting colleagues, managers, and business unit leaders.
Precision, Efficiency, and Continuous Improvement
In this role, you and your team will be responsible for the full and accurate execution of general ledger management and monthly reporting for multiple entities within Samskip. You will deliver KPI reports for the business units, highlight trends and deviations, and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Performing monthly closings
- Analyzing, explaining, and documenting deviations, trends, and new developments
- Developing and implementing financial processes
- Preparing detailed internal and external reports
- Managing accruals, provisions, and other balance sheet items

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a finance department, preferably with SAP
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Experience in logistics, shipping, or transport is a plus
- Advanced Excel and ERP skills (preferably SAP FICO)
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
