Financial Analyst – Wealth Management Operations Internship
Scotiabank is seeking motivated students to join our Wealth Management team for a co‑op or internship role beginning in September and ending December 2026. This full‑time internship will provide hands‑on experience in a dynamic, client‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, ensuring adequate and effective day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations.
- Provide customer service in accordance with Scotia Service Standards.
- Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Provide exceptional customer service support on account opening related queries, remaining current and informed on existing and new industry regulations and firm policies.
- Maintain client account integrity by performing sundry items as required.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
- Contribute to a high‑performance, inclusive work environment.
- Provide coverage and support for other members of the team when needed.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in post‑secondary education.
- Enjoy involvement in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions.
- Able to provide reliable and timely responses professionally to direct inquiries from advisors, trading desk, other broker/dealers, various operations and support departments, and management.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong business analysis, analytical and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with other bank departments and external parties.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Location: Calgary, AB – On‑site
Salary: $28.21 to $72.36 per hour
Work Hours/Week: 37.5
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full‑time
