You will be part of a collaborative finance team that plays a critical role in coordinating year‑end activities, supporting the preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with key legislation and accounting standards. This role is ideal for an experienced analyst or accountant with strong EOFY reporting capability and excellent stakeholder liaison skills.
Your new role
- Preparing and approving EOFY journals, reconciliations and adjustments
- Assisting in the preparation of EOFY financial statements and working papers
- Engaging with business stakeholders to collect information required for statutory reporting
- Preparing and reconciling financial workpapers to support audit and reporting requirements
- Assisting with budget estimates and financial submissions for the upcoming financial year
- Liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely provision of information
- Analysing and preparing EOFY financial reports for the Director Financial Accounting and CFO
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in EOFY reporting, financial statements and working papers
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial controls and public sector frameworks
- Proven ability to prepare journals, reconciliations and accurate financial documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with experience preparing financial reports and variance commentary
- Experience using government finance systems such as Oracle
- (Desirable) CA/CPA qualification or progress toward completion
