LOCATION: Clonee (Dublin)
OBJECTIVES:
Support the General Manager of Touax Rail Ltd in the various strategic, and investment projects for Touax Rail Ltd and in particular with excel spreadsheets, market data analysis, research, investment propositions, as well as day to day operational support (presentations, excel files, data room…).
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Provide analytical support, particularly through comprehensive excel spreadhseets, to strategic (and less strategic) projects undertaken by the General Manager.
- Create cash flow projections, balance sheet, p&l and cash flow statements for investment cases – particularly those outside the usual investment parameters of the company
- Research companies in the rail sector, from public information, and create analytical reports focusing on specific aspects requested by the General Manager.
- Collaborate with other colleagues in the operational, finance, and asset management departments as needed.
- Provide recommendations in projects as to actions compatible with objectives outlined by the General Manager.
- Provide support in preparation of deal closings as necessary (KYC, documentation review…);
AUTONOMY
- The ideal candidate will have sufficient autonomy to manage its time efficiently and show initiative to complete his/her tasks, as the General Manager is frequently travelling.
- The candidate will have the support from colleagues in the Finance Department if located in Clonee, or other Business Analysts and rail colleagues if located in Paris.
PROFILE
- University degree or Bac+5 (Business/Finance)
- 3 to 5 years professional experience with relevant background
- Exposure to international environment
- Business savvy with quantitative background
Competencies:
- Analytic skills necessary to summarize a wide variety of market and internal information to prepare presentations to be used by TRL management and board;
- Understanding of financial and accounting concepts;
- Excel modeling skills with particular emphasis on cash flow based project financing;
- Sense of accuracy and urgency, organized and able to work both on his/her own and in a team.
- Some exposure to financial or analytical role preferably within the financial services industry
- Ability to contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
- Good communication skills both verbal and written – fluent with Office suite
- English essential – French appreciated.
