As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key driver of financial accuracy and operational efficiency across multiple global entities. This role is designed for a technical expert who excels in the Xero ecosystem and possesses a strong understanding of Australian tax compliance (ATO). You will not only manage the day-to-day full-cycle accounting—from FX reconciliations to consolidated reporting—but also act as a strategic partner in building scalable finance systems. Your Impact
- Multi-Entity Financial Mastery: Perform accurate bank and foreign currency (FX) reconciliations across global entities. You will ensure correct treatment and reporting of international transactions while maintaining high data integrity in Xero.
- Full-Cycle AR/AP Oversight: Manage the complete cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are processed, payments are prepared, and outstanding balances are proactively managed.
- Month-End & Consolidation Support: Prepare and roll forward working papers to support the month-end close. You will assist in preparing consolidated accounts, P&L and balance sheet work papers, and detailed variance analysis.
- Compliance & Payroll: Support ATO compliance by preparing accurate and timely activity statements. You will also handle payroll accounting, including essential journal entries and reporting.
- Management Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reporting packs, providing stakeholders with the insights needed to drive business growth.
- Process Transformation: Identify opportunities to improve workflows and support the development of scalable systems and internal controls. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to prepare the function for future team expansion.
What You Bring
- The Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, specifically within a multi-entity or global environment.
- The Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CA qualification is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Xero and the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs). Experience with foreign currency reconciliations and Australian tax requirements is a significant advantage.
- Leadership Potential: A proactive professional with an interest in helping to build and mentor a finance team as the organization scales.
- Operational Discipline: Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a remote work setting.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for seamless collaboration with global colleagues and stakeholders.
