We’re looking for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join a friendly, fast-paced, and collaborative finance team.
This role offers the chance to work across a variety of projects each week, from month-end reporting and tax compliance to operational accounting and process improvements.
About The Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity and strong controls across both NZ and UK operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll own the general ledger, lead month-end close, oversee NZ and UK tax compliance, and strengthen governance frameworks that safeguard the business.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams, senior leadership, and external advisors, ensuring financial operations run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain an accurate, well-controlled general ledger and lead month-end close
- Oversee NZ and UK tax compliance and act as internal liaison for advisors
- Strengthen internal controls, support audits, and provide technical guidance
- Manage operational accounting including stock, fixed assets, and liabilities
- Provide clear financial insights to support operational decisions
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For
- CA qualification (or equivalent) advantageous but not essential
- 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting or commercial finance roles
- Solid understanding of NZ tax (CIT, GST, FBT) and willingness to build UK tax knowledge
- Experience managing month-end processes and high-quality accounting records
- Clear, confident communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Ability to operate independently, prioritise effectively, and escalate when required
- Focus on accuracy, continuous improvement, and accountability
