About the Role

As a Sr. Finance Specialist – Client Settlement, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate client funding, performing reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting in line with GAAP and internal accounting policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate daily client funding
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve internal and external client issues
  • Handle non-funding settlement activities (e.g., merchant adjustments, suspense items)
  • Prepare wire requests for off-cycle payments
  • Conduct monthly analytical reviews of general ledger accounts
  • Support audit and SOX requests
  • Maintain understanding of end-to-end processes and systems impacting GL accounts
  • Create and present weekly/monthly dashboards
  • Update process documentation and training materials
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Support special projects and ad hoc requests

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance-related activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Good-to-Have

  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Blackline, Oracle)
  • Exposure to settlement systems (MBS, CMOD, TRAMS, SNSS)
  • Experience in FDR
  • Prior banking experience
