Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos for a Finance Officer. The Finance Officer will oversee financial operations, prepare financial statements and reports, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets. The role involves analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, and providing insights to aid decision-making. The Finance Officer will also collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and prepare financial statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process vendor, operational, and salary payments
- Handle tax filings and statutory remittances, including PAYE, WHT, VAT, and pensions
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions
- Monitor company's cash flow and expenses
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management summaries
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities
- Maintain proper financial documentation and records
- Work with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies when required
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls
- Assist with payroll processing and expense management
