BDS Tire Recycling, Inc. based in Fairfield, Maine is searching for a Finance Manager (Controller) to replace the current incumbent who is retiring. BDS is a leading tire recycling company serving the Northeast, collecting and recycling tires through a state of the art, fully automated tire recycling facility. - Starting salary of between $95,000 and $115,000.

The Finance Manager/Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial condition of the business by tracking, analyzing and reporting financial results, preparing financial projections, and recommending corrective actions as needed; works to maximize financial performance by working closely with the Owner. The Controller oversees the Business Office (with three full time staff members) and works on special financial projects.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies in keeping with the organization's strategic plan.
- Creating an annual budget and monitoring performance against budget on a monthly basis; tracking and reporting financial results on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis as needed, including the preparation of a monthly income statement.
- Providing financial analysis for income projections, and operational analysis for each product line and service (cost accounting).
- Managing daily cash flow and borrowing needs; works with bank(s) on finance options as needed.
- Monitoring long term debt and EFT payments; restructuring debt and financing of certain assets; maintaining bank relationships.
We are seeking applicants with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or the equivalent in education and closely related work experience at a professional level.
- Five+ years of progressively responsible financial management experience in a for-profit environment.
- Knowledge and expertise in accounting regulations, GAAP and accounting principles.
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
