Role Overview

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function in Vietnam, ensuring robust financial reporting, strong governance, and effective support to business operations.

This role combines hands-on financial management with active business partnering to the Country Head, supporting commercial execution, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. The incumbent will also be responsible for building and managing a capable local finance team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee full spectrum of finance operations, including GL, AP/AR, treasury, and month-end closing
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Maintain compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in Vietnam
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
  • Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to Group finance policies

2. Business Partnering to Country Head

  • Act as a key finance partner to the Country Head, supporting day-to-day decision-making and execution
  • Provide financial insights on sales performance, pricing, margins, and cost management
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Evaluate commercial initiatives, including new product launches and distribution strategies
  • Drive accountability by monitoring KPIs and highlighting risks and opportunities

3. Operational Finance & Working Capital

  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to improve efficiency
  • Monitor inventory levels, receivables, and payables to optimise working capital
  • Strengthen credit control and ensure disciplined cash collection
  • Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts

4. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, manage, and develop the local finance team
  • Establish clear roles, processes, and performance expectations within the team
  • Build finance capabilities to support business growth and increasing complexity
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

5. Process Improvement & Systems

  • Drive improvements in finance processes, reporting quality, and turnaround time
  • Support implementation and optimisation of ERP and reporting tools
  • Enhance data visibility and analytics to support business decisions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA/ACCA preferred
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience, with proven team management experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or distribution industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Vietnam accounting standards, tax, and regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering with operations or commercial teams
