About The Role

This Finance Manager position sits within the Financial Reporting Consolidation function of a public sector organisation. The role is responsible for producing consolidated financial statements, coordinating audit activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role holder operates at a managerial level and is expected to uphold all relevant business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to review and audit consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Produce group consolidated financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reports and manage the internal and external review process for these documents.
  • Ensure consolidated financial statement reports are prepared in compliance with organisational policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor evolving accounting guidance, provide timely interpretation of accounting standards, and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Create and maintain the financial reporting calendar to communicate critical deadlines for financial closing and reporting requirements to all relevant parties.
  • Communicate accounting issues and updates to evolving guidance to the management team, working in conjunction with the Policy and Procedure department.
  • Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure alignment on accounting disclosures and decisions.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate with internal counterparts on the harmonisation of policies within the scope of organisational reform initiatives.
  • Produce actual-to-actual consolidation reporting.
  • Assist in coordinating annual audit and quarterly review activities with both external and internal auditors.
  • Produce the annual group reporting package required by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Prior supervisory experience in financial statement reporting within a large-scale, service-oriented industry is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience working within Saudi Arabia and/or the broader Middle East region, including familiarity with the local regulatory environment, is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and consolidation reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex accounting guidance clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing relationships with external auditors and coordinating audit processes.
