Role Overview
The Finance Manager will provide a qualified Accountant broad exposure to various parts of the Finance function, including group consolidation, year-end group reporting, analysis of group balances and higher-level reporting.
In addition, you will also be responsible for improving internal processes, policies and reporting. SAP S4 Hana was implemented 3 years ago with various improvement projects ongoing.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of year-end financial statements for the group in accordance with FRS102
- Consolidation of group financial statements
- Handling the coordination of monthly reporting and submissions for the group
- Analysing group consolidated balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly Board pack
- Ensure the balance sheet reconciliations are correct and that group intercompany balances agree at month end
- Supporting the Auditors with the financial audit and ensuring all deadlines are met
- Responsibility for payroll processes (outsourced providers for the UK, US and ROW)
- Ownership of relationship with external US accountants who maintain the books for our US entity
- Preparation of quarterly group VAT return
- Ad-hoc project work relating to technical accounting
- Supporting the financial controller where necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), with a strong technical accounting skill set i.e., IFRS, FRS 102
- Currently in Practice, or a Financial Accountant / Finance Manager in industry, and looking for a broader role in a rapidly expanding international SME
- Able to demonstrate strong systems skills, evidenced by utilisation of technology to drive efficiencies within a Finance Department
- Proactive and innovative, evidenced by the implementation of new, scalable and robust financial processes
- Possess superb communication skills
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficient with MS Excel
- Experienced in using SAP S/4HANA.
