Our client is a non-profit organization seeking a Finance Director to oversee financial planning, budgeting, procurement, business intelligence, and strategic transformation initiatives. This role partners with executive leadership to improve financial operations, leverage data for decision-making, and drive process improvements through technology and automation. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting processes.
- Develop key financial metrics and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive business transformation initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee budget, procurement, and business intelligence functions while mentoring a team of finance leaders.
- Partner cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to support strategic and financial objectives.
- Prepare executive-level financial analyses, presentations, and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve resource allocation, and strengthen financial performance.
- Lead or participate in special projects and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related
- CPA preferred
- 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, preferably within non-profit or higher education
- Strong background in budgeting, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic finance.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems aptitude.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, leadership, and project management skills.
