Position Summary:
The Finance Controller will be responsible for leading the company’s financial planning, reporting, and control functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. This role will drive financial excellence through robust governance, insightful analysis, and strong business partnering, enabling leadership to make informed decisions while safeguarding the company’s financial health. It requires high analytical rigor, leadership capability, and the ability to navigate complex financial environments within a fast-paced, growth-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor financial performance against targets; analyze variances and identify key drivers impacting profitability and growth.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes to safeguard company assets.
- Partner closely with commercial, supply chain, and operations teams to drive financial discipline and support business decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure optimal financial health of the organization.
- Oversee audit processes (internal and external), ensuring readiness, transparency, and timely resolution of audit findings.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business expansion.
- Ensure proper cost management and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings across the organization.
- Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring alignment with company policies and delegated authority limits.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align reporting standards and financial strategies.
Required Qualification, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification is required.
- 10–12 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or controller role.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Exposure to multinational companies or well-established organizations, ideally within pharmaceutical, FMCG, or healthcare industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local tax regulations, and audit processes.
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence strategic decisions.
- Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and financial reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
