POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and build the accounting function within a high-growth organization. This role will be responsible for establishing scalable processes, strengthening financial infrastructure, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in a rapidly evolving environment.
The Controller will serve as a key partner to executive leadership, owning day-to-day accounting operations while helping position the company for continued growth and potential future strategic transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and own all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, financial reporting, fixed assets, and technical accounting
- Establish and enhance accounting processes, controls, and systems to support rapid organizational growth
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage and execute the close process, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Provide technical accounting guidance, including research and application of accounting standards
- Support audit activities and ensure readiness for external reporting requirements
- Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives, including potential transaction or sale-related activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership to drive business insights and performance
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP)
- Experience in manufacturing or environments with cost accounting exposure highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build processes and operate effectively in a high-growth, evolving environment
- Hands-on mindset with willingness to take ownership across multiple areas of accounting
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- ERP system experience preferred
