EMEA Recruitment is delighted to assist a growing organisation in their search for a Finance and Accounting Manager as they continue to grow their presence within Switzerland.
As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you'll be the local expert for all Swiss statutory and regulatory accounting matters. You’ll be joining an organisation who are in the process of growing their presence within Switzerland so you will have the opportunity to play a key role in that, helping them ensure they are fully compliant and acting as the primary finance contact for the Swiss entity.
This role is well suited to someone who has a deep expertise in Swiss tax and statutory requirements, enjoys being hands on and can work closely with a global finance and accounting team.
Responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Manager:
• Take the lead on Swiss tax compliance and statutory obligations, such as VAT, corporate tax and employer-related taxes ensuring full compliance
• Provide local inputs and documentation to the global team for all reporting activities related to the Swiss entity
• Collaborate on GL accounting, month and year end closing and reconciliations
• Co-ordinate statutory reporting and tax filings in Switzerland
• Co-ordinate statutory audits, including scheduling, documentation and working closely with external auditors.
• Be the key liaison between the global finance and accounting team and the Swiss operations
Candidate Profile:
• Recognised finance degree, qualification or similar in a related field
• Previous experience of Swiss tax compliance and statutory reporting
• In depth knowledge of Swiss tax regulations and a solid understanding of Swiss GAAP
• Experience of working with a global finance team, with familiarity with US GAAP an advantage
• Full working proficiency in English and German
