Role Description The Director of Operations is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the club’s day-to-day operational activities and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives. This role includes designing and managing operational processes, coordinating event logistics, and supporting the planning and delivery of workshops, meetings, and networking activities. The Director of Operations monitors budgets and resource allocation, tracks key metrics, and provides regular operational updates to the leadership team. The person in this role will collaborate closely with club officers and student volunteers, help resolve operational issues, and improve systems to support growth and member engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management skills, including process design, workflow optimization, and coordination of multiple activities.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret data, track performance, and support data-informed decision-making.
- Proven Team Management abilities, with experience organizing, motivating, and supporting diverse student or volunteer teams.
- Experience with Budgeting, including planning, monitoring expenses, and aligning activities with available resources.
- Customer Service mindset, with a focus on responsiveness, clear communication, and a positive member experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a remote environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with comfort using digital collaboration tools.
- Interest in finance, student organizations, or educational initiatives; prior experience in a leadership or operations role is a plus.
