The Opportunity
A well-capitalised, national real estate investment and development platform is seeking an Asset Manager to join its Fort Lauderdale-based team. The firm operates a diversified, institutional-quality portfolio across multifamily, mixed-use, retail, office and hospitality assets, with a substantial active development and operating pipeline.
This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across asset classes and direct interaction with senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving performance, executing value-creation strategies, and supporting the long-term growth of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial and operational performance across a diversified real estate portfolio
- Develop and execute asset-level business plans, capital strategies and value-add initiatives
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes
- Prepare investment-grade financial analysis and reporting for senior leadership and stakeholders
- Partner closely with property management, leasing and operations teams to ensure execution against asset strategies
- Monitor market conditions, identify risks and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations
- Oversee capital improvement projects from planning through delivery
- Support acquisition underwriting, due diligence and disposition analysis as required
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, finance, legal and executive teams
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in commercial real estate asset management
- Strong financial and analytical capability, including budgeting, forecasting and valuation
- Experience managing institutional-quality assets, ideally across multiple asset classes
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Excel, Argus, Yardi/MRI, CoStar or similar)
- Strategic, detail-oriented and commercially minded
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly to senior and institutional stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Multifamily and/or mixed-use asset management background
- Value-add and repositioning experience
- Familiarity with South Florida or broader Sun Belt markets
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented platform
