Our client is seeking an experienced Custody Team Leader to oversee custody operations, client asset administration, regulatory reporting, corporate actions, and a small team of custody professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the custody team.
- Oversee client asset safekeeping, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
- Review client transactions, investment reports, and communications.
- Prepare regulatory, tax, management, and board reports.
- Ensure compliance with MFSA, CBM, MTCA, FATCA, CRS, and US QI requirements.
- Manage relationships with custodians and external service providers.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Custody, Investment Operations, or a related field.
- Previous experience in custody, asset servicing, or investment operations, including team leadership.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Highly organised, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Fluent in both English and Maltese.
- Must be currently residing in Malta.
