SUMMARY:
A vacancy exists for a Creditors Manager in the Finance Department at Head Office in Centurion
POSITION INFO:
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to, the following:
- Oversee end-to-end creditors process (invoice receipt to payment)
- Ensure timely and accurate capturing of supplier invoices
- Monitor payment cycles and ensure adherence to agreed terms, review and approve payments
- Responsible for the overall operation of the creditors department, including advising on and initiating changes necessary to process, procedures.
- Ensuring compliance to company policies.
- Management and maintenance of the vendor Masterfile.
- Reviewing and approving forex P&L journals.
- Supporting, motivating, deploying, and training a team of +- 20 staff.
- Handle escalated queries and disputes
- Responsible for the management of the internal and external audit requests in accounts payable and preparing audit schedules.
- Keeping abreast of changes in relevant ACT and Standards (IFRS, VAT, POPI Act).
- Work hand in hand with Procurement in respect of trade vendor vetting
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Balance sheet recons for all account payable related accrual accounts.
- Monitoring repayments of SED loans.
- Daily and weekly cashflow forecasts and actuals.
- Checking and issuing requisitions in line with approval matrix.
- Group reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:
- Completed B. Com degree or diploma in accounting/finance is essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ accounts payable experience.
- MS Office and above average excel skills essential.
- SAP B1 experience.
- Excellent English written & verbal communication skills.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and customer service orientation.
- Be deadline driven and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record.
- Required to work overtime from time to time.
