Company and Job Description:
My client is looking for a detail-driven Creditors Clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and meeting deadlines. This role is critical in ensuring that daily and monthly payments across multiple entities are processed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture accounts payable invoices and perform accurate data entry on Sage Evolution
- Process supplier payments efficiently via the FNB online system
- Allocate payments and correctly code supplier invoices
- Reconcile creditors’ accounts to supplier statements
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by liaising with suppliers
- Ensure all supporting documentation is properly recorded, filed, and compliant with company policies
- Submit weekly and monthly payments within strict deadlines
- Ensure zero late payments and avoid interest on supplier accounts
- Prepare and maintain petty cash reconciliations
- Capture daily cashbooks and manage forex payments
- Assist with audit support and continuous process improvements
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on long overdue items
- Ensure proof of payments is distributed and filed within required timeframes
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Grade 12
At least 2 years’ experience in a creditors/accounts payable role
Sage Evolution Experience Is Essential
Experience using FNB online banking system is essential
Solid understanding of accounts payable processes
