LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a leading CPG Company, within food & beverage, that is seeking a Commercial Finance Director to lead and scale its commercial finance and Revenue Growth function. This role will act as a strategic partner to Sales and Executive Leadership, overseeing a high-performing team focused on driving profitability through pricing, trade spend optimization, and SKU-level performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Commercial Finance team, providing direction across pricing, trade spend, and margin improvement initiatives
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Category Management to drive profitable revenue growth strategies
- Own trade spend analysis and optimization, ensuring ROI visibility and effectiveness across channels
- Oversee pricing strategy development, including elasticity modeling, promotional planning, and competitive positioning
- Analyze and improve SKU-level profitability and product mix to enhance overall margin performance
- Deliver actionable insights on customer profitability, channel performance, and promotional effectiveness
- Establish and enhance financial frameworks, KPIs, and reporting tied to commercial decision-making
- Support long-term strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes related to revenue and gross margin
- Act as a key liaison between Finance and Commercial teams, strengthening cross-functional alignment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant exposure to CPG (food & beverage strongly preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing commercial finance
- Deep expertise in Trade spend and promotional ROI analysis, Pricing strategy and revenue optimization
- Strong understanding of sales channels, customer dynamics, and retail/consumer behavior
- Advanced analytical and modeling skills; experience with large datasets and financial systems
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate analytics into strategic business decisions
- • CPA, MBA, or equivalent preferred
Compensation:
$150,000-$165,000
Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision
PTO is offered on an accrual basis
