We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team in New York. This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their finance career who is eager to learn, develop strong financial operations skills, and work cross-functionally with teams across the business.
About the Role
In this role, you will support financial operations and reporting for the VaynerMedia New York region and EVA-related workstreams, helping ensure financial processes run smoothly while contributing to budgeting, revenue analysis, and operational finance activities. This role offers strong exposure to commercial finance, financial reporting, and operational decision-making within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support financial operations and reporting across the New York commercial finance team
- Assist with budget tracking, forecasting support, and financial analysis
- Support the monthly close process
- Work with the Shared Services team to assist in managing and tracking the invoicing process and ensuring clients pay accurately and on time
- Analyze budgets, costs, and financial performance metrics
- Work cross-functionally with Client Services, Project Management, Accounting, and Finance teams
- Maintain financial data and reporting within tools such as Excel/Google Sheets and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle NetSuite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Communications, or a related field
Required Skills
- 0–2 years of experience in commercial finance, finance, accounting, financial operations, or another finance-oriented role
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive 'go-getter' mindset with a desire to learn
Pay range and compensation package
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)
