Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding debts.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to billing.
- Follow up on payment commitments and ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate unresolved accounts to management or legal when necessary.
- Comply with all relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, FDCPA).
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining firm collection practices.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in collections, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Familiarity with collection software and CRM systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is an advantage.
