Client Manager Designate – Qualified Accountant (3+ Years PQE)

BLG Chartered Accountants is a long‑established, partner‑led firm, recognised as a leading specialist provider of Managed Finance Function and Fractional CFO services to a broad range of ambitious and dynamic clients.
We are now seeking a Client Manager Designate to join our team, with a clearly defined pathway to full client ownership.
The Role
This is a senior, client‑facing position. During an initial approximately 12‑month period, the successful candidate will work closely with partners to learn and embed BLG’s unique approach to delivering Managed Finance Function and Fractional CFO services.
Following this period, the Client Manager Designate will be entrusted with their own portfolio of clients, acting as Fractional CFO and taking full responsibility for service delivery and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as Fractional CFO for a portfolio of clients
- Delivering BLG’s Managed Finance Function tailored to individual client requirements
- Producing and reviewing management accounts, cashflow forecasts and financial analysis
- Providing financial leadership and commercial decision support
- Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance (accounts, tax, CRO deadlines, etc.)
- Managing and developing an in‑house team of accounting and finance professionals
- Reviewing work prepared by team members and supporting their ongoing development
- Building and maintaining strong, long‑term client relationships
The Person
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting and compliance expertise
- Strong commercial mindset beyond compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing, mentoring or reviewing junior staff
