We are partnering with a leading Thai retail group on a for a Chief Strategy and Finance Officer. This is a key executive role for an ambitious, progressive finance leader who can combine strategic thinking, commercial insight, and hands-on financial leadership in a multi-entity, multi-store environment.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience serving as CFO and ready to drive the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall finance agenda across the group, covering finance operations, commercial finance, strategic planning, and capital management.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end M&A process: deal sourcing and evaluation, valuation and structuring, due diligence, negotiations, closing, and post-merger integration.
  • Act as a strategic finance business partner to the CEO and senior leadership, providing insight on growth opportunities, capital allocation, and profitability improvement across multiple entities and store networks.
  • Oversee financial performance across multiple legal entities and store locations, ensuring robust planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Design and execute capital allocation and funding strategies, including bond/debenture issuance and fund structuring to support expansion.
  • Strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting to support sustainable growth and potential future corporate actions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative, commercial, and forward-looking culture.

Requirements

  • Substantial tenure as CFO in a publicly listed company in Thailand, with clear accountability for full finance leadership.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in finance, corporate finance, or transaction-related roles, with strong, hands-on M&A exposure (end-to-end, not only support).
  • Solid track record in finance operations and commercial finance: budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and partnering closely with commercial/operational teams.
  • Experience managing multi-entity / multi-site businesses (e.g. retail, consumer, hospitality, or similar).
  • Collaborative, natural leader who acts as a business partner, can influence decisions, and works effectively with CEOs, boards, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
  • Progressive mindset, comfortable driving change and working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
  • Advanced qualifications (CPA, MBA or similar) are an advantage.

  • Low-ego, team-oriented, and highly collaborative, while confident challenging assumptions and driving decisions with data.
