Job Description

A rapidly scaling renewable energy development and asset manager with approximately 100MW of operating wind farms in the midwest, 20 employees and project development across the United States. The family office is entering its next phase of growth, targeting 500MW of assets and expanding into Battery Energy Storage Systems and large-scale solar PV plants. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the company through this scale-up phase in the US.


Responsibilitie

  • sDevelop and execute a multi-year strategic business plan (with the existing board of directors) to scale the company from 100MW to 500MW of operating asset
  • sOversee day-to-day operations and Implement scalable systems, processes, and organizational structures to support growt
  • hLead quarterly board meetings, maintain strong communication with shareholders, and ensure compliance with all company internal and external obligations
  • .Identify and evaluate opportunities for organic growth, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic alliances
  • .Prepare and present compelling investment proposals, financial models, and growth plans to potential investors
  • .Function as company representative at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings, effectively communicating the company’s vision, value proposition, and growth potential
  • .Provide strategic leadership and direction to cross-functional teams involved in growth initiatives. Lead talent acquisition, organizational objectives, and people development strategies to build a scalable, high-performing team aligned with the company's growth trajectory and culture
  • .Oversee all aspects of project development including site control, permitting, interconnection, and offtake negotiations to advance the company's pipeline from development through commercial operation
  • .Establish and maintain strong relationships with utilities, offtakers, independent system operators, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders across target markets
  • .Develop and manage the Company's annual operating budget and long-range financial plan; report financial performance and strategic progress to the board and ownership group on a regular basis
  • .Drive asset management and operational oversight of the company's operating portfolio, ensuring performance targets, contractual obligations, and reporting requirements are met
  • .Monitor energy market dynamics, regulatory developments, policy changes, and the competitive landscape to inform strategy and identify emerging opportunities
  • .Represent the Company in community engagement, public affairs, and stakeholder communications to build local support

.Requirement

  • sMinimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the renewable energy industry, with a demonstrated track record of developing, financing, and operating utility-scale solar, wind, storage, or other clean energy assets
  • .Proven experience as a CEO, President, COO, or senior executive at a renewable energy developer, IPP, or closely related company, including direct responsibility for P&L, capital allocation, and board-level reporting
  • .Deep expertise in project development processes including site origination, permitting, interconnection, environmental review, and offtake structuring across multiple markets
  • .Experience sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships in the energy sector
  • .Strong existing relationships with utilities, offtakers, developers, financial sponsors, tax equity investors, and lenders active in the renewable energy market
  • .Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with the ability to represent the company effectively at all levels, from landowners and community stakeholders to institutional investors and senior utility executives
  • .Experience working within a family office, founder-led, or privately held company structure preferred; comfort operating with entrepreneurial speed and discipline alongside a hands-on ownership group
  • .Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or advanced degree in engineering, finance, or a related field preferred
