Contract Details:

- Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay range: C$50 – 60/hr
Job Summary:
This role offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to leverage their relevant business experience and work on initiatives that touch on various treasury concepts while strengthening stakeholder management and leadership skills within a project capacity. Acting as the Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) against data strategy project covering Market Risk and FTP Measurements, you will attend project meetings, work like a consultant, and provide answers regarding the projects. You will spend everyday at least 2-3 hours of meetings collectively and interact internally with a 3-member team currently. This is a project-based backfill position with on-job training provided. You will have the opportunity to work with the treasure team and communicate with leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive analysis, provide business requirements, review business regression test results to ensure result variances are explained and accepted
- Support stakeholders by providing expertise on banking product features, valuation systems and project expectations
- Engage multiple stakeholders to maintain a cohesive vision making sure everyone is on the same page, understand the process implications and manage the end-to-end deliverables
- Develop and foster a positive working relationship with partners and stakeholders
- Provide updates on the project and present to all levels of the organization including senior management
- Map-out and re-engineer processes and workflows, including associated change management
- Communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management
- Simplify and present complex concepts and business results in terms understandable by audiences with varied backgrounds including senior bank executives
- Manage multiple complex projects concurrently
- Gather and analyze financial data to derive value added analysis
- Manage cross functional teams to deliver on key initiatives
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or engineering
- MBA/CFA/FRM designations are considered assets
Required Experience:
- 5-7 years of overall experience
- Familiarity with principles of asset/liability management, capital markets, and how Treasury delivers value
- Familiarity with Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) concepts and their application to retail Mortgage, Loan and Deposit products
- Familiarity with the features and characteristics of retail banking products
- Familiarity with non trading market risk concepts and their application to P&C banking products
- Familiarity with Agile methodology for project delivery
- Experience mapping-out and re-engineering processes and workflows, including associated change management
- Experience communicating with all levels of the organization, including senior management
- Experience simplifying and presenting complex concepts and business results in terms understandable by audiences with varied backgrounds including senior bank executives
- Experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently
- Experience gathering and analyzing financial data to derive value added analysis
- Experience managing cross functional teams to deliver on key initiatives
