What To Expect
The Associate will play a central role in Tesla's capital markets activities including structuring and executing new corporate and product financing transactions as well as leading other strategic initiatives as needed. The individual will work collaboratively with internal business partners from treasury, financial planning, accounting, legal, tax, risk, financial services, business development, engineering, and other operational teams. The Assocaite will be an effective communicator who can interface wit senior leadership, banking partners, investors, and service providers. Finally, a successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated aptitude for being a team player, and have a strong does of common sense, practicality, and adaptability.
What You'll Do
Provide key support for Tesla's corporate financing initiatives related to revolving credit facilities, corporate debt issuances, corporate credit ratings, and banking relationsips
Manage structuring and execution of warehouse, securitizations, and other term debt transactions to support new product offerings across mobility, energy, robotics, and charging
Create well-structured and accurate financial models, prepare due diligence, collateral, asset performance, offering memorandum, and documentation materials to support transaction execution
Oversee reporting, compliance, appraisal, and audit activities for Tesla's existing portfolio of financings
Participate in other strategic capital markets projects and initiatives as necessary
What You'll Bring
4 to 6 years of experience in corporate finance, structured finance, project finance, or investment banking, with a strong track record for superior performance
Bachelor's Degree in Business, related field, or equivalent experience
Excellent interpersonal, time management, negotiation, and communication skills
Experience working cross-functionally with business development, engineering, financial planning, legal, accounting, tax, and other operational teams
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and treasury operations
High energy, execution focused, and results oriented approach
A sense of humor and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment

Expected Compensation
$80,000 – $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
