Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, and real estate project accounting. The candidate should have strong knowledge of real estate accounting practices, GST, TDS, RERA compliance, vendor management, and MIS reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, cash flow statements, and management reports.
- Monitor project-wise accounting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
- Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, customer accounts, and vendor balances.
Real Estate & Project Accounting
- Handle accounting for real estate projects, including land acquisition, construction expenses, contractor billing, and project costing.
- Track project budgets, cost variance, and profitability analysis.
- Manage customer receivables, booking collections, demand letters, and payment follow-ups.
- Ensure proper accounting of inventory, WIP, and project expenses.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure timely filing and compliance of GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Maintain compliance related to RERA and other applicable real estate regulations.
- Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.
Payables & Receivables
- Verify vendor bills, contractor bills, and payment processing.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and customer outstanding collections.
- Ensure timely payment to vendors and contractors.
Budgeting & MIS
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare project-wise MIS, fund flow, and financial analysis reports for management.
- Support management in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with sales, CRM, projects, procurement, and legal departments for financial documentation and approvals.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure smooth departmental operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
- CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance preferred
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Real Estate / Construction industry preferred
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and real estate accounting
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, RERA, and statutory compliances
- Experience in project accounting and cost control
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, ERP systems, and MS Excel
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
