Our client is a well known, global consulting firm with a strong track record for growth and they are currently searching for their new Assistant Controller. Reporting to a tenured and strong Controller who has a track record of strong mentorship, you will be responsible for overseeing both U.S. and international accounting operations, including the monthly and annual close. This visible role includes taking the lead during year-end audits and ensuring compliance with applicable GAAP accounting standards as well as the preparation of technical accounting memos. You will manage and develop the General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams and assist with the implementation of new accounting policies. Additional duties include assisting with treasury functions and reviewing controls. Core duties for this Assistant Controller include:
- Lead General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams to ensure timely and financial reporting for both U.S. and international entities.
- Evaluate and integrate new U.S. accounting standards as they are issued including covering revenue recognition.
- Oversee statutory accounting and financial reporting across all jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and international revenue recognition standards.
- Manage and update the organization’s chart of accounts; oversee the integration of foreign currency transactions within the accounting system.
- Coordinate and facilitate year-end audits for U.S. and European regions and implement recommendations stemming from audit reviews.
- Assist with the treasury functions and implement efficient internal processes and controls.
The base pay range for this role is between $140k and $170k plus very competitive bonus. Your base pay will depend on your skills, experience, certifications and other business needs.

Preferred Requirements:
- 10 or more years of progressive accounting experience including leadership of a staff
- CPA with prior public accounting experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
- Strong service orientation and commitment to internal client satisfaction.
- International accounting experience including knowledge of currency translations
- Experience within a law firm, consulting or related firm is a major plus
