The Opportunity
A high-growth, PE-backed technology and data services business is hiring its first ever Credit Oversight Manager. This is a newly created role, built for a commercially minded finance professional who wants to build something from scratch and leave a visible mark on how a fast-scaling business manages its order-to-cash cycle.
This is not a collections job. It is a governance, insight and relationship role; one that sits at the heart of the business and connects finance with the commercial teams who drive revenue.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and implementing a central credit governance framework, giving the business real visibility of its billings position for the first time
- Introducing structure and process around new client onboarding, bringing finance into commercial conversations earlier and adding genuine value at the point deals are being shaped
- Acting as a peer and analytical partner to the AR function, elevating the quality of insight available to senior leadership and the board
- Upskilling and supporting client-facing teams across the business, helping them manage their portfolios with greater rigour and confidence
- Mapping and redefining the end-to-end order-to-cash process, defining what good looks like and building toward it
What We Are Looking For
- A solid grounding in credit control, billings or AR earlier in your career – you need to know this world from the inside
- Experience building or transforming a function, not just running one
- Strong analytical capability alongside genuine relationship skills as you will need both in equal measure
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, growth environments where process is still being defined
- A background in professional services, consultancy or project-based businesses would be a real advantage
- Above all, the right mindset: patient, persistent, influential, and energised by building something new
