Overview
We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced finance team. This is a varied role supporting the wider finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across payables while contributing to process improvement and broader financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payment of suppliers
- Supporting month-end close activities where required
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Managing queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with payment runs and cash flow planning
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team
- Providing ad hoc support across finance as needed
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance-related role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable working with financial systems and MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise workload in a dynamic environment
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
Desirable (but not essential)
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Experience working in a high-volume environment
- Progress towards, or interest in, a finance qualification
- Broader finance experience (e.g. reconciliations, reporting, etc.)
