GCH Group is a fast-growing international group of Inspection, Certification & Compliance and Construction Services businesses, with operations across Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Malaysia and Singapore. We're headquartered right here in Newcastle, and we're scaling quickly — backed by an active acquisition pipeline and blue-chip clients in the data centre, infrastructure, construction and manufacturing industries.

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our group finance team. This isn't a junior data-entry role, and it isn't a senior management seat either — it's the engine room. You'll own the day-to-day accounts function across multiple entities and currencies, working with colleagues and suppliers on the other side of the world. If you want more than a standard suburban accounts job, this is it.

What you'll be doing

  • End-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple group entities
  • Daily bank reconciliations in Xero (we run a separate Xero file per entity)
  • Managing and reconciling inter-company payments and transfers
  • Processing supplier invoices, payment runs and customer invoicing
  • Assisting with month-end and supporting our consolidated group reporting
  • Liaising with our businesses across Australia and internationally

What you'll bring

  • Solid hands-on accounts experience (ideally 3–5+ years) — confident running AP/AR independently
  • Strong Xero skills, including bank reconciliation; multi-entity experience is a real plus
  • Comfort with numbers, deadlines and detail — you catch the things others miss
  • Good communication; you'll be dealing with people across different time zones and cultures
  • A proactive, organised approach — you like owning a process and improving it
