Role Description The Accounting Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chililabombwe. The Accounting Officer will manage day-to-day financial operations, including posting transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring timely and accurate data entry. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role will also involve using accounting software to process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and generate financial reports for management. The Accounting Officer will support internal controls, assist with audits, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, and collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to apply accounting principles in daily operations.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and related financial systems for data entry, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support problem-solving and decision-making.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Chililabombwe, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and handle confidential information with integrity.
