This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. It is a full-time hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the office.
We are seeking a proactive and personable Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This role will support end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable including processing invoices, verification, supplier o-boarding and payments
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and expense claims
- Review and reconcile supplier statements, promptly addressing any discrepancies
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Respond to supplier questions promptly and professionally
- Assist with ad hoc duties
Accounts Receivable
- Manage and action queries from customers
- Investigation of unreconciled payments
- Updating customer accounts
- Collect outstanding payments
- Monthly reporting on status of debts
- Month end reconciliations of accounts
Ideally you’ll have
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience
- Accounting certificate or Diploma
- A high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong numeracy skills
- Ability to meet deadline and manage priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, pro-active with a ‘can-do” attitude
- Excellent Excel skills
- Interested in technology and AI
- Microsoft Business Central experience preferred, though not essential
