Job Summary
We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Wealth Advisory team. The Investment Analyst will provide comprehensive support to high-net-worth clients by working closely with experienced Wealth Advisors. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and able to support the day-to-day management of client relationships. This role is well suited for professionals looking to develop client advisory expertise through mentorship from an experienced Wealth Advisory team.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
- Review client portfolios and assist Wealth Advisors with the development, presentation, and implementation of investment recommendations.
- Support portfolio construction, investment proposals, portfolio rebalancing, phase-in planning, and quarterly performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the National Investments team to align client portfolios with investment strategies while considering cash flow, taxation, liquidity, risk tolerance, and other client-specific objectives.
- Assist with the execution of client portfolio trades, including trade execution, margin maintenance, and settlement.
- Develop and maintain Investment Policy Statements (IPS).
Financial Planning
- Prepare and maintain net worth statements, financial plans, and cash flow projections.
- Participate in prospect and client meetings to gather information for financial planning and investment strategy development.
- Stay informed on current wealth planning trends, legislative updates, and planning techniques.
- Partner with the Wealth Strategy team to enhance client financial planning solutions.
Operations & Client Support
- Coordinate with Client Associates to manage client onboarding, account maintenance, investments, redemptions, transfers, and money movement requests.
- Maintain accurate client notes, investment changes, and activities within Salesforce.
- Review quarterly client performance reports and collaborate with reporting teams to resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare client and prospect meeting materials and participate in meetings as needed.
- Support private investment reporting in collaboration with Client Associates and coordinate with external fund administrators and investment portals.
- Manage assigned deliverables from initiation through completion while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong preference for candidates who hold or are actively pursuing CFA® or CFP® designations.
- Previous internship or professional experience in financial services is required.
- 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Series 65 license (or equivalent) required, or willingness to obtain within 120 days of employment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and proactively resolve challenges.
- Coachable with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, CPAs, attorneys, and other professional partners.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with eMoney, Salesforce, Addepar, and custodial platforms is a plus.
- Strong initiative with the ability to contribute meaningfully in a collaborative team environment.
