Role Description
The VP – Finance & Accounts is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Abroad, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations for Esse India. This position manages financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow to support strategic business decisions and long-term growth. The role includes supervising the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The VP will lead the finance team, implement internal controls, optimize resource allocation, and provide analytical insights to senior management to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Collaboration with other departments on pricing, investment decisions, and performance tracking is a key part of the day-to-day work.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial data.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting principles, taxation basics, and regulatory compliance relevant to consulting and professional services.
- Relevant qualifications such as a master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business, and/or professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA, MBA in Finance) are highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience in leading finance teams, implementing internal controls, and working with senior leadership in a mid-sized or consulting-focused organization is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain high ethical standards.
