  • Salary range: $225K-$280K

Position Overview

The VP of Accounting & Finance will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, overseeing financial planning, performance management, and internal controls. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands complex business models involving multi-industry supply chains and commercial sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Lead financial planning, performance management, and operational accounting tailored to a complex multi-industry sales model.
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning financial strategies with overarching business and operational visions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting practices are deeply integrated with day-to-day business operations.
  • Risk & Compliance: Manage internal controls, corporate insurance, and risk factors; serve as the primary liaison with external auditing partners.
  • Corporate Governance: Review contracts and leases to protect company interests, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage multi-state tax requirements.
  • Treasury & M&A: Support corporate development activities (including M&A) and sustain strong banking relationships in accordance with corporate vision.
  • Team Development: Lead, inspire, and mentor the accounting department, fostering opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; an MBA is highly preferred.
  • Certification: Active CPA certification is required.
  • Experience: 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with proven success as a VP of Finance, Corporate Controller, or equivalent executive role.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency with enterprise-level systems, including Tier-1 ERPs, advanced CRM platforms, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Skills: Superior communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
