Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Vice President, Transition Management to support our Prime Brokerage business. This is a fast-paced, client-facing role requiring strong attention to detail, a keen interest in global markets, and the ability to coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders. The Transition Manager is responsible for delivering a seamless initial client experience at Cantor by owning the end-to-end onboarding and go-live process. This role partners closely with Trading, Sales, Onboarding/KYC, Credit, Legal, and Technology to ensure clients are onboarded efficiently and successfully.

Client Transition & Project Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during onboarding and transition.
  • Own and manage the end-to-end transition timeline from onboarding through go-live.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure all requirements are met for a successful launch.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies; drive resolution to meet deadlines.

Trading

  • Scope and document all trading requirements in partnership with the client.
  • Identify and support cross-selling opportunities across trading products.
  • Coordinate with Technology and Trading to ensure connectivity and trading setup are completed prior to go-live.

Sales

  • Provide Sales with regular, proactive updates on onboarding status and key milestones.
  • Partner with Sales to resolve issues and leverage Sales as an escalation point for time-sensitive or complex deals.
  • Support client relationship management during the transition phase.

Onboarding / KYC

  • Coordinate with onboarding teams to collect and review KYC documentation.
  • Ensure all broker-dealer regulatory and compliance requirements are satisfied.
  • Track documentation status and follow up with clients as needed to avoid delays.

Credit

  • Guide clients through credit approval processes for Prime Brokerage, Swaps, OTD, and Repo.
  • Coordinate with internal credit teams to align approvals with onboarding timelines.
  • Communicate credit requirements and approval status clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Legal

  • Act as a point of escalation between clients and Legal on commercial and legal terms.
  • Support negotiation and resolution of legal deal points across Prime Brokerage, Swaps, OTD, and Repo.
  • Track documentation progress to ensure timely execution ahead of go-live.

Technology

  • Scope and document technical requirements with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Coordinate system setup, connectivity, and testing.
  • Ensure all technology deliverables are completed and validated prior to go-live.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in financial services, banking, brokerage, asset management, operations, or a related internship.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and basic systems navigation.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Salary: $110,000 – $190,000

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
