The Opportunity
We are seeking a Vice President to join the New York Private Credit team, taking a leading role in deal execution and playing a central part in origination, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring. This is a high-impact role for a proven credit investor ready to own transactions end-to-end, manage deal teams, and act as a key point of contact for sponsors, borrowers, and advisors. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape investment decisions and drive risk-adjusted returns across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deal execution end-to-end, overseeing credit modelling, structuring, due diligence, and documentation negotiation through to close.
- Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts, reviewing analysis and ensuring quality across all workstreams.
- Drive origination efforts, developing and maintaining relationships with sponsors, intermediaries, and borrowers to build a proprietary pipeline.
- Own the preparation and presentation of investment committee materials, and articulate credit theses, risks, and structuring rationale to senior partners.
- Lead portfolio company oversight, monitoring covenant compliance, financial performance, and credit risk, and managing amendments or workouts as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 6 to 9 years of relevant experience, with a strong foundation in private credit, leveraged finance, or investment banking.
- A proven track record of leading transactions and managing deal processes and teams.
- Advanced credit modelling, structuring, and analytical skills, with sharp commercial judgement and risk assessment ability.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and represent the firm externally.
- Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or CFA advantageous.
