Title: Vice President, Private Credit – New York

Company: Everet Marsh

Location: New York City Metropolitan Area

Join a leading private credit platform with a strong track record of partnering with borrowers and sponsors to provide flexible, tailored financing solutions. The firm is widely recognised for its disciplined underwriting approach, deep credit expertise, and long-term relationship-driven mindset across a diverse portfolio of direct lending and structured credit investments. Operating with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, the organisation combines rigorous credit analysis, sector specialisation, and a global perspective to source, structure, and manage investments on behalf of its partners and investors.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Vice President to join the New York Private Credit team, taking a leading role in deal execution and playing a central part in origination, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring. This is a high-impact role for a proven credit investor ready to own transactions end-to-end, manage deal teams, and act as a key point of contact for sponsors, borrowers, and advisors. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape investment decisions and drive risk-adjusted returns across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead deal execution end-to-end, overseeing credit modelling, structuring, due diligence, and documentation negotiation through to close.
  • Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts, reviewing analysis and ensuring quality across all workstreams.
  • Drive origination efforts, developing and maintaining relationships with sponsors, intermediaries, and borrowers to build a proprietary pipeline.
  • Own the preparation and presentation of investment committee materials, and articulate credit theses, risks, and structuring rationale to senior partners.
  • Lead portfolio company oversight, monitoring covenant compliance, financial performance, and credit risk, and managing amendments or workouts as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 6 to 9 years of relevant experience, with a strong foundation in private credit, leveraged finance, or investment banking.
  • A proven track record of leading transactions and managing deal processes and teams.
  • Advanced credit modelling, structuring, and analytical skills, with sharp commercial judgement and risk assessment ability.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and represent the firm externally.
  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or CFA advantageous.

Why Join?

  • Take a leadership role at a highly regarded private credit platform with a strong reputation and proven investment track record.
  • Meaningful ownership of transactions and portfolio outcomes, with a clear path toward Principal and Partner.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of sectors, deal structures, and credit strategies, with direct partner-level access.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with genuine mentorship and long-term growth potential.
  • Highly competitive compensation, including meaningful carry participation, within a respected, high-performing organisation.
