Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day operations of the business, ensure operational efficiency, drive performance across the business, oversee the company’s administrative and internal support functions, and partner with the CEO to scale the business profitably.
Primary Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Ensure consistent execution of strategic initiatives and operating plans
- Establish operational cadence, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reviews (with performance reviews supported by the CEO)
- Enable operating teams with clear policies, tools, and processes
Execution and Scaling
- Translate strategic objectives into executable operating plans
- Drive process improvement, standardization, and scalability
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve productivity, margins, and client outcomes
P&L and Performance Management
- Accountable for operational performance against budget, forecast, and KPIs
- Partner with Accounting/Finance to improve forecasting accuracy and cost discipline
People and Leadership
- Lead and develop people at the business
- Support talent development, succession planning, and organizational design
- Own HR strategy, policies, and compensation frameworks
- Oversee recruiting infrastructure, onboarding, and performance systems
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Serve as escalation point for internal issues
- Build accountability, clarity, and a high-performance culture
Corporate Infrastructure Building
- Establish policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure proper documentation for corporate actions and board governance
- Improve data integrity and reporting quality
Success Metrics
- Operational KPIs identified, measured, and achieved consistently
- Margin expansion and cost efficiency
- Scalable internal infrastructure
Qualifications
- 10+ years of operational leadership experience
- Proven experience scaling internal and external operations in a growing organization
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing KPIs and budgets
- Experience in facility installation and/or maintenance industry preferred (mechanical services, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Military experience a plus, but discipline, organization, and leadership a must
