Vice President of Tax Jobs in South Naperville Area, USA at Atlas Search
Working on a senior fund tax role with a large, well-capitalized investment platform that partners closely with founders, families, and long-term investors. This is a VP-level seat supporting a flagship strategy, with real ownership over the tax function and team.
It’s a hands‑on leadership role – you’re overseeing the compliance process end‑to‑end while also getting pulled into structuring, deal activity, and broader tax strategy. The platform is growing, so there’s a real opportunity to build and refine processes rather than just maintain them.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund tax compliance across a complex, multi-entity structure (U.S. + international)
- Manage relationships with external tax providers and review returns / K-1s
- Lead taxable income forecasting and LP reporting
- Partner closely with deal teams, legal, and investor relations on tax-related matters
- Get involved in structuring, acquisitions, and strategic tax planning
- Manage and develop a team internally
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience, ideally Big 4 + fund / partnership tax exposure
- Strong understanding of private equity structures and LP allocations
- Experience managing teams and external advisors
