Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic growth across HG Capital Partners’ multi-family portfolio. This leader will oversee day-to-day operations, including performance monitoring of properties, process improvement, resource allocation, and coordination with property management and vendor partners. The role includes developing and executing strategic plans, aligning operational priorities with investment objectives, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The VP of Strategic Operations will also manage P&L performance, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide regular operational reporting to senior leadership and investors. This position collaborates closely with acquisition, asset management, and customer service teams to enhance resident satisfaction, streamline workflows, and support scalable growth.
Qualifications

  • Strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, performance tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Proven experience in P&L Management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Customer Service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support positive resident experiences and investor relations.
  • Strategic Planning abilities, including setting operational priorities, defining KPIs, and aligning operations with long-term business goals.
  • Project Management skills for planning, executing, and monitoring renovation, value-add, and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or multi-family housing operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with proficiency in relevant productivity and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
