Position Summary:
The Vice President of Strategic Analysis is responsible for leading the organization's strategic analysis, business intelligence, market research, and corporate planning initiatives. This executive leadership role provides data-driven insights that support executive decision-making, long-term growth strategies, investment opportunities, competitive positioning, and operational performance. The Vice President of Strategic Analysis partners closely with executive leadership to identify emerging trends, evaluate business opportunities, and guide the company's strategic direction.
- Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & AnalysisDevelop and lead the company's enterprise strategic analysis framework to support long-term business objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market, financial, operational, and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership based on quantitative and qualitative research.
- Support the development of corporate strategic plans, annual business objectives, and long-range forecasting.
- Business Intelligence & Data AnalyticsOversee enterprise business intelligence (BI) initiatives and executive reporting systems.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and performance reporting frameworks.
- Analyze financial performance, operational metrics, customer behavior, and market trends.
- Leverage predictive analytics and advanced modeling to improve strategic decision-making.
- Market & Competitive IntelligenceMonitor industry developments, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct market sizing, opportunity assessments, customer segmentation, and trend analysis.
- Evaluate competitive positioning and recommend strategies to strengthen market leadership.
- Identify new business models, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Financial & Investment AnalysisLead financial modeling, investment analysis, profitability assessments, and scenario planning.
- Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and capital investment opportunities.
- Conduct ROI analysis and support executive investment decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Finance, Operations, Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Corporate Development teams.
- Support strategic initiatives across multiple business functions.
- Present executive-level reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Facilitate strategic planning workshops and business review meetings.
- Leadership & Organizational DevelopmentBuild and lead high-performing teams of strategy analysts, business intelligence professionals, and market researchers.
- Mentor team members in analytical methodologies, strategic thinking, and executive communication.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and external research partnerships.
- QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Management, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate strategy, business intelligence, strategic planning, consulting, investment analysis, or related fields.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and executive decision support.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, business analytics, forecasting, and market research.
- Experience with corporate performance management, strategic planning, and competitive intelligence.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong ability to influence executive stakeholders through data-driven insights.
- Preferred SkillsExperience in fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial services, technology, SaaS, or other high-growth industries.
- Expertise with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, AI-driven analytics, and predictive modeling is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), venture investments, or corporate development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of international markets and global business strategy.
- Professional certifications in strategy, analytics, finance, or project management are an advantage.
