Position Summary
Are you a strategic sales executive with a passion for building high-performing teams and driving profitable growth? We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our sales organization, develop winning strategies, and accelerate revenue across multiple channels.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy, leading a team of sales professionals, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities. This role requires an energetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coaching teams while remaining actively engaged with customers and the business.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute the company's overall sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Lead, coach, and mentor Regional Sales Managers, National Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Inside Sales teams.
- Establish sales objectives, forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Drive new customer acquisition while expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Partner with Marketing, Category Management, Operations, and Customer Experience to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
- Identify new markets, industry trends, and strategic growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Analyze sales performance and market data to make informed business decisions.
- Implement best practices in sales processes, CRM utilization, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Travel as needed to support customers, sales teams, and industry events.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including leading multi-state or national sales organizations.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue and profitability goals.
- Strong experience developing sales strategies and executing growth initiatives.
- Experience with distribution, manufacturing, industrial products, foodservice, hospitality, or B2B sales is highly desirable.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing forecasts, budgets, and sales analytics.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to travel as business needs require.
