Role Description The Vice President of Planning at Schroderus is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading the organization’s strategic and financial planning processes. This role partners with senior leadership to define long-term goals, evaluate business opportunities, and translate strategy into actionable plans and measurable targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining planning frameworks, coordinating budgeting and forecasting cycles, analyzing performance data, and preparing clear reports and recommendations for executive decision-making. The Vice President of Planning will also assess risks, model financial scenarios, and ensure alignment between functional plans and overall organizational priorities. This role collaborates closely with finance, operations, and other key stakeholders to drive disciplined execution and continuous improvement in planning practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong strategic and business planning skills, including the ability to translate vision and goals into practical, measurable plans.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in interpreting complex data, building models, and developing clear insights for leadership.
  • Finance and financial planning expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, and long-range planning processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a planning or finance-related role, preferably at the senior or executive level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Comfort working in a remote, part-time capacity with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and time management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
