Position Summary

The Vice President of New Business Development is a senior executive responsible for driving the company's growth strategy through strategic partnerships, market expansion, client acquisition initiatives, and new revenue opportunities.

This individual will work closely with executive leadership to identify emerging market trends, develop strategic relationships, evaluate business opportunities, and create scalable growth initiatives that support the company's long-term vision.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's long-term objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new markets, customer segments, and revenue opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives that support geographic expansion and business growth.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Establish and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, institutional investors, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify, negotiate, and develop strategic partnerships that enhance the company's market position.
  • Evaluate potential collaborations, joint ventures, and business alliances.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and executive meetings.

Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth

  • Develop scalable client acquisition strategies.
  • Support initiatives that increase client engagement, retention, and long-term value creation.
  • Work closely with marketing and client-facing teams to strengthen market positioning.
  • Identify new revenue channels and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive measurable business growth through strategic relationship management.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with leadership teams across operations, research, compliance, marketing, finance, and client success functions.
  • Ensure business development initiatives align with operational capabilities and strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and execution across multiple departments.
  • Support organizational alignment around growth objectives.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Assessment

  • Analyze industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
  • Conduct strategic evaluations of new products, services, and market opportunities.
  • Provide executive leadership with actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Support decision-making through market research and competitive analysis.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing business development teams.

  • Support talent development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Establish performance metrics and growth objectives for business development functions.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, sales leadership, strategic partnerships, investment management, financial services, consulting, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success developing strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing executive-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments.

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced graduate degree.
  • Experience working with institutional clients, family offices, investment firms, fintech companies, or financial services organizations.
  • Understanding of digital assets, blockchain technology, capital markets, or alternative investments.
