Position Summary
The Vice President of Financial Reporting will lead Elekta's global financial reporting function, overseeing statutory reporting, SEC compliance, consolidation, and technical accounting across all regions. This executive will ensure accurate, timely financial disclosures while supporting strategic decision-making and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements, interim reports, and annual filings compliant with IFRS, SEC, and local regulations.
- Lead technical accounting, policy development, and implementation of new standards across Elekta's international operations.
- Manage close processes, internal controls (SOX compliance), and financial systems integration for accurate period-end reporting.
- Partner with Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Tax, and external auditors to deliver high-quality financial communications.
- Provide executive leadership with financial insights, risk assessments, and recommendations on reporting enhancements.
- Build and lead a high-performing global financial reporting team focused on accuracy, efficiency, and process excellence.
Qualifications (Strict Requirements)
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial reporting, SEC reporting, or controllership roles.
- Proven track record in multinational public companies, preferably in medical devices, healthcare technology, or life sciences.
- Deep expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance, and complex consolidations.
- Strong executive presence with experience interfacing with C-suite, audit committees, and external stakeholders.
- Candidates without extensive executive-level financial reporting experience in public companies will not be considered.
