Objective
Frazier Healthcare Partners is seeking a VP, Finance & Operations professional to join our Center of Excellence (CoE), working hands-on across our portfolio companies to drive financial and operational improvement. This role spans the full investment lifecycle — from assessing finance and ops maturity during diligence to building and executing 100-day value-creation plans post-close. Day-to-day work includes FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, working capital optimization, accounting close support, and maturing business systems like ERPs and reporting tools. You'll also lead cost improvement initiatives across areas such as workforce optimization, supply chain, and strategic sourcing. The position requires someone who can align portco leadership and deal teams behind a shared strategy, navigate sensitive organizational dynamics, and build finance and ops capabilities that outlast your direct engagement. Healthcare industry experience — particularly around reimbursement, payer mix, and regulatory cost drivers — is strongly preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Brings differentiated finance and operations expertise (FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, working capital optimization, operational benchmarking)
- Familiarity with accounting close, audit, and tax coordination
- Experience maturing business systems (ERP, BI/analytics, reporting tools)
- Supply chain, logistics, or operations optimization experience
- Drives cost improvement across workforce optimization, site consolidation, production efficiency, logistics/supply chain, and strategic sourcing
- Assesses the maturity of a portfolio company's finance & ops function during diligence
- Accurately identifies and evaluates operational and financial risks
- Demonstrated ability to stand up or restructure a finance function from scratch
- Comfort operating across multiple portfolio companies simultaneously
- Understanding of healthcare-specific financial dynamics (reimbursement, payer mix, regulatory cost drivers)
- Builds and executes 100-day plans that translate diligence findings into action
- Prioritizes workstreams that directly advance the Value Maximization Plan and ties finance/ops initiatives to measurable VMP outcomes
- Willing to roll up sleeves on unglamorous work (cleaning chart of accounts, rebuilding reporting, supporting month-end close)
- Upskills portco finance and ops staff so improvements sustain after CoE engagement
- Scopes key workstreams and quantify value-creation opportunities pre- and post-close
Knowledge, Skills, And Key Traits
- Aligns portfolio company leadership and investment team behind a functional strategy
- Navigates sensitive organizational dynamics (e.g., CFO transitions, restructuring)
- Builds trusted, productive relationships across portfolio company C-suites, deal teams, and external advisors
- Embodies Frazier's values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability in all interactions
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
